Eastmond is the founder and Director of the Jewish Music Institute Youth Big Band.
Formed three years ago with the philosophy of instilling a new concept of Radical Jewish Culture in the next generation.
With two releases already and regular performances at Klezmer in the Park (despite the band having never played klezmer) and around London the band go from strength to strength.

Other projects
Eastmond is currently working on projects with NYJO the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and has arranged and is directing massed projects for Hounslow Music Service for their upcoming Hounslow As One concert at the Royal Festival Hall.
Eastmond is actively engaged in pedagogy projects focussing on large ensemble, improvisation and brass, including past masterclasses at Wellington College.
